Dr. Sunpyo Lee is a board-certified gastroenterologist with more than 14 years of experience as a physician in South Korea and the UAE. Dr. Lee earned her M.D. from Chonnam National University College of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at the prestigious Asan Medical Center.

Dr. Lee specializes in diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal diseases, including but not limited to GERD, H. pylori infection, gastritis, peptic ulcers, inflammatory bowel diseases, constipation, diarrhea and chronic liver disease. Focusing on the motility of the gastrointestinal tract, Dr. Lee also specializes in the neurogastroenterology of the esophagus and stomach. She has performed over 12,000 endoscopic procedures such as diagnostic gastroscopy and colonoscopy, endoscopic polypectomy, endoscopic mucosal resection and submucosal dissection for advanced gastric and colon polyps, endoscopic dilatation and stent insertion, bariatric endoscopy, endoscopic hemostasis, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, and more. In 2010, Dr. Lee received a prestigious award from the president of the Korean Medical Association. She is an active member of several medical associations, including the Korean Association of Internal Medicine, the Korean Society of Gastroenterology, and the Korean Gastric Cancer Association.

At KMC, Dr. Lee serves as the head of the Executive Health Center and consultant gastroenterologist. She is committed to advancing the region’s most comprehensive screening center and promoting the practice of preventative healthcare in Qatar.
